Some highlights from the week at Metaversum:

  • Yumondo’s Berlin community in the spotlight: ~600 members, ~500 places

Yumondo community - 300 Things

Following on to yesterday’s theme, I just wanted to mention that there are now 300 Things on Yumondo. (more…)

Yumondo community - 1000 places

In most of the previous posts about the growth in the Yumondo community, we’ve focused on the growth in the membership. (more…)

Last week at Metaversum, July 6, 2007

I was out Friday afternoon, so I missed the chance to post my usual end-of-week note. But here’s the update:

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Yumondo now has more than 1500 members

Not much more to say than that. Yumondo is moving along nicely! (cross-posted on the Yumondo blog)

Wrapping up the week at Metaversum, June 29, 2007

As usual, highlights from the past week at Metaversum:

  • The Yumondo community grew from 900 to over 1300
  • We kicked off (no pun intended) our table soccer tournament
  • A couple of other really big pieces of news, which I can’t go into just yet. Suffice it to say, we’ll look back at this week as one that really set the company on a great path!

Thanks again for all your support, and we wish you all a great weekend!

The Yumondo community is over 1100

By now, you’re probably getting a bit bored of seeing me posting Yumondo membership statistics all the time. But I do it for a reason - for us, it’s something to celebrate. We see every new member sign-up as validation for the concept. And we truly believe in the network effect. With each new member, with each new place, event or item, Yumondo becomes that much more valuable to all the community members. So contribute and help the members around you and around the world. They’ll help you in return. And if there is anything we can do to make the experience easier and more enjoyable for you, please let us know. (cross-posted on the Yumondo blog)

Yumondo: 1000 members

It’s a big day for us. Today, Yumondo reached crossed 1000 members. While this number isn’t on the order of magnitude that you may see with MySpace, Facebook and the like, to us at Metaversum and to the Yumondo team, it tells a powerful story. When we see such demand to join the site, during a closed beta, it tells us that we’re on to something, and that we’ve started building a platform that our members enjoy, appreciate and really benefit from! (cross-posted at the Yumondo blog)

Yumondo now over 900 members!

Another day, another 100 members on Yumondo! Thanks again to all those who are helping to make Yumondo a success. Keep it going! (cross-posted on the Yumondo blog)

Metaversum’s office party wrap-up

First, thanks to all who braved the weather to come to our office warming party last night! The weather at least lasted long enough for most to arrive, get a little look around, maybe grab some food and then get to shelter. Oh, and thanks to the event people who also kept the food and drink going until the rain just made it impossible, and then improvised a new location inside to keep serving.

For those who missed it, we had a good crowd, and we hope that you all enjoyed the food, beverages and our brief presentation. Jochen started the presentation with a little overview of Metaversum the company, then Mirko gave a bit more insight on Yumondo, and Gerrit talked very briefly about Force Sunrise and what that side of the house is working on. We gave a little sneak peek of our virtual world, and we even unveiled its name, Twinity. I’m not going to spill details here too much. You had to be there to get the insider’s scoop.

You can see pictures from the event over on Yumondo.
