Some highlights from the week at Metaversum:

The REALEAF project was initiated by Force Sunrise. Second Life Island owners, companies with representative offices and individual users have the opportunity to neutralize the carbon emissions caused by surfing in SL.

For each contribution made on the Sim “Metaverum B”, there will be a virtual leaf labeled with your avatar’s or company’s name. For each leaf on the virtual REALEAF-tree, a real tree will be planted.

You can also see who has joined in by checking the REALEAF website, where every supporter is listed automatically, or visit the project directly in SL.

FORCE SUNRISE Island is the first complete carbon-neutral island in SL.

Will you be next? Support projects like REALEAF to add value to virtual worlds by enriching the real world!

I will be at Siggraph this year from the 5-9 of August. I’ll post my favorite discoveries on this blog. Looking forward to the unique combination of 3d-, game- and movie-industry. Hope to see you there!

Some highlights from the week at Metaversum:

• Yumondo stat highlights: 1800+ members, 1000+ places, 300+ things
• Yumondo’s Berlin community in the spotlight: ~600 members, ~500 places
• First offline Yumondo community meeting, and a recap
• A couple of new colleagues joined the team. You’ll see some of their work indirectly in the next few weeks and months. Glad to have them aboard!
• Our table soccer tournament got to the fourth round. The finals are drawing closer!
